Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian break down a clip of Rush Limbaugh analyzing a clip of Robert Reich on Cenk’s MSNBC show discussing taxes and wealth redistribution. Uygur and Ana are especially amused by how Rush pronounces names – did years of drugs (Oxycontin) screw up his hearing and could that be a factor?

In the 1990s I was a fan of Rush Limbaugh, and he explained that he says Reichhhhhhhhhhhh to exaggerate the way he ended a speech by saying “This is Robert B. Reichhhh.”

I think what Limbaugh was getting at with the alternate pronunciation of your name was a veiled reference to the Uyghur people in China and central Asia. The Chinese government has reported that these people are predominantly terrorists in their country and as a result Limbaugh was looking to link you to them.

Reich never explicitly says he is a ‘Keynesian’–which is a label he would not deny–he just promotes all of Keynes’ fallacious ideas and says things such as ‘Keynes understood’ and ‘Keynes is being exhumed’.
